EU Centre

The consortium of Korea University (KU), Korea Institute for International Economic Policy (KIEP) and SBS was designated by the European Commission to host EU Centre in 2013. The KU-KIEP-SBS EU Centre started its activities since January 2014 and Graduate School of International Studies (GSIS) serves as a managing institution of the EU Centre.

The KU-KIEP-SBS EU Centre plans to establish itself as the focal point of EU-related academic programs, exchanges and research as well as outreach and network activities. Starting from Spring semester 2014, the Centre offers EU-related courses for bachelor, master and Ph.D. students, and provides financial assistance to students pursuing EU studies at Korea University. A number of internship and field-trip opportunities will be provided as well.

KU-KIEP-SBS EU Centre will also convene academic conferences, seminars and workshops on EU-related topics and support SBS-TV documentaries on Europe. Through these various activities, the KU-KIEP-SBS EU Centre will contribute to a better understanding of contemporary EU affairs and enhance bilateral relations between the EU and Korea.
